I shoot only digital but once upon a time I used an analogue 35mm Canon camera, but the progress for me was to slow and to costly for me to stay interested. Also, I couldn’t see my mistakes instantly so once the pictures arrived I didn’t even remember what was going through my mind at the time of the shoot. So the digital era has certainly been a blessing for me. However, I find really old cameras and all the genuine faults with them to be very attractive. I love dust, scratches, discoloring and the genuineness and chance old cameras with film produce. There’s something special with actually placing the imperfections in the subject during the process of the artwork rather than applying a digital texture afterward. That said though, I think that digital art is just as legitimate as analogue.

Shaving with ‘Jonul Brando’
By Mikael Cedergren in personal
Johan, the little brother of one of my best friends asked me to photograph him in a Marlon-Brando-shaving kinda fashion. Now, he ain’t no Marlon Brando but he is a cool guy… so how to step him up to Marlon? Well… lighting, and offcourse as Bender said in Futurama:”Does smoking make me cool…? Again, the answer is yes.”
However, I’m not here to promote smoking, no matter how cool it is.
